LA TRANSPOSITION DE L IMAGINATION MEDIEVALE DANS LES OUVRAGES DU XXe SIECLE La contribution se posera les questions suivantes : Quelles sont les relations entre le monde du Moyen Age, son esprit, son imagination, ses images et la littérature des époquessuivantes, surtout la littérature du XIXe et du XXe siecles ? Quels sont les principes et les circonstances de cette transposition ? La contribution analysera une composition unique appelée chantefable Aucassin et Nicolette et la transposition du monde de l imagination médiévale dans un ouvrage (Histoire de l amour de Provence) de Julius Zeyer, auteur franco-tcheque de la deuxieme moitié du XXe siecle et dans les autres ouvrages des écrivains et des peintres tcheques du XXe siecle.

Transposition of Medieval Imagination in 19th and 20th Century Literature This article deals with the following questions: What are the relations between the Medieval and contemporary world? How are the Medieval ideas and concepts reflected in the periodand later literature, particularly in the nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature? What are the principles and circumstances of the transposition of the Medieval view of certain relations into the relations depicted by later works of art. We will try to respond to the above questions through our analysis of the Medieval chantefable Aucassin et Nicolette, of a short story The Tale of Provence Love by Julius Zeyer, Czech late nineteenth century author, and through an analysis of the work by some twentieth century Czech writers and artists.
