L étude compare l album tcheque et français pour enfants dans le contexte de la littérature contemporaine. L album tcheque se trouve au départ du chemin que les maisons d éditions francaises ont pris des les années 1970. C est le champ d expérimentationet de jeu ou l album tcheque sait se faire valoir le plus, souvent en dépassant toutefois les limites de la littérature destinée aux enfants et en s adressant plutôt a un public adulte. Les traductions des livres francaises pourraient ainsi opérer une ouverture sur une vision spécifique du monde enfantin. L article sort de la recherche de l histoire littéraire.

The paper makes a comparison between Czech and French picture books in the contemporary Czech and French literatures for children and youth. The Czech picture book is now at the beginning of the road on which French publishers have been since the 1970s.The contemporary Czech picture book is the most prolific in the field of experiments and wordplays where it often goes beyond the horizon of children?s literature aiming more at adults. Translations of French books for children and youth might then be awelcome inspiration, especially if the image of children?s world is at issue. The paper draws on a literary-historical research.
