La contribution évoque la personnalité d'Albert Camus en révélant son rapport a l'Europe centrale et particulierement a la Boheme. Nous examinons sa vie souvent triste et nous observons l'influence de ces événements sur son psychisme. Il est mentionné surtout l'époque ou l'écrivain effectue son voyage a Prague parce que c'est justement le moment ou sa crise personnelle culmine. Ses idées, ses impressions de voyages et ses expériences malheureuses en Europe centrale se refletent dans ses premiers recueils. Nous avons choisi la piece de théatre Le Malentendu et le récit La Mort dans l'ame ou nous essayons de montrer l'image de la Boheme et de Prague que Camus décrit comme des lieux sombres et qui représentent donc tout le contraire de l'Afrique ensoleillée.

The paper deals with the person of Albert Camus and reveals his relationship to Central Europe, especially to Bohemia. There is an investigation of his often unhappy life and also the impact of these events on his psyche is observed here. In particular the period in which the writer travels to Prague is mentioned because during this time his personal crisis peaks. The thoughts and impressions of his travels and poor experience gained in Central Europe are reflected in his early collections. A play The Misunderstanding and The Death in the soul were chosen for further investigation. It is tried to show the image of Bohemia and Prague here. Camus describes it as dark and gloomy places that represent the opposite of sunny Africa.
