Der Beitrag konzentriert sich auf die Präsentation von Volksballaden aus dem Gebiet der Tschechischen Republik, und deren Reflexion in der tschechischen Musik. Ausgangspunkt ist eine Annäherung an das Leben der Ballade, ihre Funktion in der ursprünglichen Umgebung und die Analyse einzelner Balladensujets. Die Autorin zeigt auch die Beispiele tschechischer Musikwerke auf, die von Balladentheme inspiriert wurden. Sie weisst auf das pädagogische Potential von Balladen hin und zeigt die Möglichkeiten ihrer Anwendung im Rahmen der Musikpädagogischen Praxis auf. Ihre Erkenntnisse basieren auf der Erforschung unveröffentlichter Aufzeichnungen in Archiven, insbesondere des Sammlers mährischer Volkslieder Martin Zeman (1854-1918) aus Velká nad Veličkou.

The paper focuses on the presentation of folk ballads from the territory of the Czech Republic, and their reflection in Czech music. The starting point is an approach to the life of the ballad, its function in the original environment and the analysis of individual ballad subjects. The author also points out the examples of Czech musical works inspired by ballad themes. She points out the pedagogical potential of ballads and shows the possibilities of their application in the context of music pedagogical practice. Her findings are based on research of unpublished records in archives, especially of the collector of Moravian folk songs Martin Zeman (1854-1918) from Velká nad Veličkou.
