The workshop was held as part of the Summer School, organized by the Department of English Language PdF MU for students from Texas. The students of the McLennan Community College got to know the most significant manifestations of the folk music tradition in the Czech Republic and the attitudes of contemporary youth and teachers towards folk music. They were informed about the results of research that has been carried out in the field of folk music at the Department of Music so far, not only in the Czech Republic but also in selected European countries.
