In diesem Beitrag der Author konzentrierte sich auf zwei Themen, die sehr eng miteinander verbunden sind: auf die Veränderungen in der Währungspolitik und im Steuersystem unter König Matthias. Den Landtagbeschluss von 1615 konnten die opositionellen Stände zur vollständigen Beherrschung des Kredits- und Währungssystem im Land zu Friedenszeiten sowie zur Mibilisierung von Resourcen in Krisenzeiten nutzen. Die geschildete Form eines vollständig der ständischen Kontrolle untergeordneten Steuersystems lässtsich nur schwer als Erfolg der Herrscherpolitik interpretieren.

The author focesed on two subjects: the monetary development and the fiscal stratégy in Bohemia under the King Matthias. Based on the analysis of specific data, the author interprets that situation in a new way. The decision of the Land Diet of 1615 blocked the further growth of the country's debt and created a new instrument of fiscal policy anead of possible future power struggle in Bohemia. The decision of the Land Diet of 1615 may be interpreted as an announcement of state bankruptcy, which invalidatet all claims from foreign creditors to be repaid from taxes or from the treasury of the Kingdom of Bohemia.
