Searching for the Image of the Village in the Swirl of 20th Century Ideological Conflicts
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
In the last twenty-five years in Slovenian literature there appeared the space of the village quite often, either as a space of lyricizing and poeticizing of exotism of other (Lainšček, Tomšič), or as a neglected, dark space without future (Ki jo je megla prinesla). In Czech literature there was a space of the village mainly in 1990s as a motif almost uninteresting for authors, but later the authors started to find the way to this space mainly as a space markedly connected with wild, untamed nature (Bajaja), magic traditions (Tučková), or space of hidden ideological conflicts from the past (Hájíček). The village has gained here considerable actuality as a space of key ideological conflict between absolutistic bad-will of totality and village community, which was joined with the soil, faith, and tradition, and these roots were necessarily torn out.
