The aim of the two-day conference was to create a space for an interdisciplinary debate about the changes in the place that medicine and doctors have occupied in European societies over the past three centuries. The conference was part of the project &quot;Utváření role lékaře a pacienta: Historie vztahu pacient-lékař v českých zemích 1769-1992&quot; (Shaping the role of doctor and patient: History of the patient-doctor relationship in the Czech lands 1769-1992, GA20-17978Y), where members of the research team discussed partial results of their research with foreign and domestic experts on the given topic.
