Autor zajmuje się ciekawie udokumentowanym przypadkiem osobistej przyjaźni dwóch wybitnych postaci środkowoeuropejskiej polityki, działających przed 1490 r. na dworze węgierskiego króla Macieja Korwina. Z jednej strony był to zamożny i wpływowy szlachcic Wiliam z Pernštejna, późniejszy wysoki szambelan Królestwa Czech, a z drugiej węgierski kanclerz Jan Filipec. Obaj mężczyźni pochodzili z Moraw, ale znacznie różnili się pochodzeniem społecznym i stosunkiem do ówczesnych wyznań.

The author deals with an interestingly documented case of personal friendship between two prominent figures of Central European politics, active before 1490 at the court of the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus. On the one hand, it was the wealthy and influential nobleman Wiliam of Pernštejn, later the High Chamberlain of the Kingdom of Bohemia, and on the other hand the Hungarian Chancellor Jan Filipec. Both men came from Moravia, but they differed greatly in their social origins and their relationship to the denominations of the time.
