The synthesis of new colorants based on CeO2 has been investigation the focus of which the preparation of pigments for colouring ceramic glazes. The synthesis of these colorants invited high # temperature calcination of the oxides and determination of the optimum conditions for their synthesis. The pigments were evaluated in terms of their structure, colour and ability to colour ceramic glazes.
