Study of Properties of Explosive Mixtures Containing Peroxides
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Attention has been paid to mixtures of hydrogen peroxide (HP) with ethanol, ethylene glycol and glycerin. HP was used in the concentrations of 33, 50 and 74 % by wt. Thermal stability of these mixtures is specified. Theoretical detonation velocities (VOD) of all the prepared mixtures have been calculated using the CHEETAH code. The relative performance (RP) of the mixtures prepared has been determined by means of a ballistic mortar. The obtained VOD and RP data of the studied mixtures were compared withtheir oxygen balances (OB) and characteristics of their thermal reactivity. These results were then compared with the recent results obtained using the mixtures containing triacetone peroxide (TATP). Also studied was smooth flour gelatinized with 74% HP. Stability of the mixtures of alcohols with HP is negatively influenced by increasing water content in them. Relationship between VOD and thermal reactivity shows that the most reactive fuel in detonation is ethanol, followed by ethylene
