Bats and fruit bats belong to animals able to transmit a plenty of different microorganisms as result in infection of domestic animals or humans. It concerns not only viruses or bacteria but fungi and parasite agents too. Although generally the risk of transmission is not so high, it should be considered and it is advisable for humans to handle with such animals in a proper way.
