Influence of Synthesis Conditions on Physicochemical Parameters and Corrosion Inhibiting Activity of Strontium Pyrophosphates (SrMP2O7)-P-II (M-II = Mg and Zn)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of present study is to determine effect of the synthesis conditions on the anticorrosive properties of two double pyrophosphates (SrMgP2O2 and SrZnP2O2). The pigments have been obtained by homogenisation of different initial reagents in various ways (wet ball-milling, suspension mixing and co-precipitation) followed by thermal processing at 900-950 degrees C. Anticorrosive action of the pigments has been evaluated in water suspensions and organic coatings. To this purpose the immersion test of bare steel plates into pigment water suspensions and the tests in corrosion testing chambers have been performed. Condensation water in combination with SO2 gas were used as corrosive environment in the corrosion testing chambers. It is shown that corrosion inhibiting activity of the studied samples is defined by a range of physicochemical parameters (passivation activity, acid-base character (pH), solubility, surface area, degree of hydrolysis, and adhesive properties), which depend on the synthesis approach and chemical composition.
