The use of precipitation methods for treatment of leachate from municipal landfills
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The work is focused on the pre-treatment of landfill leakage from the municipal landfill by adjusting the pH and by the addition of several other precipitation, coagulation and flocculating agents. The reagents were selected on the basis of previously described experience for the removal of humic substances from surface water. It was shown that precipitation is an effective way to reduce the value of total carbon, nitrogen and heavy metals in waste landfill water. The precipitation methods are compared on the basis of separation efficiency of individual components, the consumption of reagents and the amount of waste sludge generated. The treatment of leachate by precipitation appears to be a promising approach to primary treatment of landfill leachate, which can be further processed in an integrated membrane process.
