Management of territory and its development belong to the tasks of public administration. Today, it isimpossible to fulfill this task without using various decision support systems including geographic informationsystems. With widening of geographic information systems and increasing demands for geographic data Internetgeographic information systems have been more and more used. In any case, correct and adequate geographic data areneeded for the appropriate usage of geographic information systems in territory management and men's life. In manycases data even must cross the boundaries of regions. Of course, it is impossible for each public administratio nauthority to keep all the needed data by itself. Some cooperation among public administration bodiesand otherinstitutions should be established.
