The paper focuses on transformation and corporate restructuring in the conditions of the Czech Republic. In the beginning, the attention is shortly paid to the changes connected with transformation of a centrally planned economy to a developed market economy, in particular, to the issue of privatization and restitutions and further to the issue of economic effects of this transformation period. The transformation period brought, apart from other things, necessity of important changes in a corporate sphere.
