The aim of our study, results of which are presented in this paper, is to answer the question whether the results of the entrance tests in mathematics are related to the examination results in mathematics. We know from our experience that mathematics isin the most of economical faculties the decisive factor which decides whether a student finishes its study or not. If the student passes this test, the probability that he will not be successful is relatively small. This was also the reason why we investigated the relationship between the numbers of points of entrance tests in mathematics with a final result of mathematics in the first semester of undergraduate study. Further, the paper examined whether the type of completed secondary school influencesthe relationship between the results of admission tests and math grades.
