The analysis of the prestressing effects on structures in 3D is presented in this paper. There are three cases described where the local effects of prestressing can cause some failures. Prestressing in construction stages considerably affects not only prestressing losses, but also local stress of the structures. The program system NEXIS was used for the analysis. The system enables the modelling of shell structures, which are built in stages respecting real 3D geometrical shape of tendons with appropriaate prestressing losses.
