Way of Storing Influence on Characteristics of Normal-Weight Concrete
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Correct curing of concrete is ranked among the evergreen problems during building of mass/reinforced concrete structures. In some cases, concrete storing is insufficient or - what's worse - quite neglectful. As a consequence, quality of built-in concreteis debased and, at the same time, defects occur - in most cases in the form of cracks. This paper describes findings relating to impact of concrete curing on its physico-mechanical properties, in particular its strength, mass density and dynamic modulusof elasticity. Monitored were common concrete classes, i.e. C25/30 and C30/37. Concrete samples were stored in 3 various media as follows: standard environment (minimum relative air humidity 90 % and temperature from 18 to 22 deg. C), laboratory environment (minimum relative air humidity 30 to 35 % and temperature from 20 to 25 deg. C), and climatological station. Unambiguous impact of storing way on all these properties has been evidenced, although in different extent.
