The book gives a brief insight into the history and present of the Technical University in Brno, led by founding the Faculty of Civil Engineering, describes the activity in one of the oldest the experimental departments of water engineering, deals with the problems of the EUREKA-oriented applied research and projects that are in that program of work soluted (E! 3838 and E! 4981), also is described briefly cluster CREA and activity of GEOtest, Inc., as main researcher of the projects.
