Parametric study shows the influence of the water table level on slope stability in this specific geological conditions in the flysch area. The landslide movement is modeled by program Plaxis 2D. Flysch areas are predisposed to slope failures. Landslidesare most frequently activated at the interface of soil cover and impermeable soft rock subsoil. The stability is significantly influenced by level of water table as the presented study shows. Therefore the landslides in these territories occur in most cases due to extreme rainfalls (when water level is going up).
