The aim of this paper is to present the analysis of development of electrical impedance contour lines (Rx) in clay-loam soil. The development was tracked on the grounds of the results obtained from electrical impendance measurements performed by Z-meter.Electrical impedance contour lines are presented in the form of log Rx. Contours show the development of electrical impedance during 2012 vegetation period in a soil profile up to 0.70 m. They are then compared with the contour lines of volumetric soilmoisture (chronoizoplets) defined for the same period. The research carried out was focused on the identification of electrical impedance development in time along the vertical line of a soil profile. Obtained results were compared with the volumetric soil moisture development in time during the same period and, based on this comparison, soil moisture impact on electrical impedance measured by Z-meter was defined. Results of the analysis should show the apparatus potential for being used
