Current ways how structures are constructed require, among others, a large number of on-site workers. The labour is demanding, slow and in some cases dangerous for these human workers. However, development of civilization and technology introduces new possibilities even to such traditional fields of human advance as civil engineering. Recently popularized 3D printing already proved itself to be useful in other areas such as mechanical engineering. This technology, when properly modified, may also be suitable for large civil structures, where it is commonly known as additive manufacturing. In the past years, experiments have been done and number of structures have been printed from concrete or other materials. With several other planned projects to come this technology is slowly finding its way to regular construction site. Even though it is still under intensive research and development, additive manufacturing brings great advantages, compared to traditional construction methods, and introduces a new
