Influence of water infrastructure operation models on water price
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The research described in the article deals with the management of the water supply and sewerage system operation in the Czech Republic. It also examines the impact on the water price in individual cities. Firstly, the historical development of water management infrastructure was briefly outlined and models of water supply and sewerage systems management in various periods of the development of the Czech Republic were introduced. Individual models of water supply and sewerage system operation were described, namely the self-operated model, the ownership operated model, the mixed operated model and the separately operated model. The emergence of these models has been enabled by the Public Water Supply and Sewerage Act since 2001. Currently, several major private foreign companies operate in the area of water supply on the Czech Republic area. This situation contributes to the fact that the state, cities and municipalities have partially lost the opportunity to intervene in the operation and thus the final price of both drinking and waste water for the end consumer.
