In the presented paper, the values of electrical impedance (Rx, Xx) in a sandy soil sample with different content of microplastics are analyzed. The aim of the work is based on the hypothesis that the content of microplastics in the soil affects the values of electrical impedance. The hypothesis is based on the assumption that it is possible to quantify changes in the content of microplastics in the soil, which are reflected in the values of real (Rx) and imaginary value (Xx) of electrical impedance. The "Z-meter" instrument was used to measure real and imaginary electrical impedance values in soil media with different concentrations of polyvinyl chloride content. Quantified changes were related to sample moisture and polyvinyl chloride concentration in the soil sample. The aim of the research work was to identify the sensitivity of the "Z-meter" device to the content of plastics in the examined soil sample.
