The subjects of this contribution are aimed at selected aspects of the contract planning and control in the French building industries. The planning and control of all resources of building production is of great importance and at the same point before commencing work on the site, proper documents must be given to the way in which the building operation will be organised. For this purpose the special software that is taught at the French building institutes are presented here. The insrtuction in contracct planning is closely connected with the lessons pointed to the quality management of a building firm. The quality checking plans of each of the construction stages have to be a part of the contractor´s documentation. The great attention in the frame ofthe education of new building experts is paid also to safty precautions on building sites.
