The hearing system records sound waves and performs their spectral analysis including the analysis of the sound intensity. The basic element of the fre- quency analysis is cochlea. This paper presents the plane finite element cochlea model with the parameters developed to provide for its functionality and to realise the spectral decompo- sition of acoustic signals in the course of real time.
