This article describes research within the frame of GAČR project; the aim of the project is to develop a low-energy house. The article focuses on an analysis of airflow images, visualized by smoke or fog. Specifically it focuses on the interferograms, characterized by regular changing of bright and dark stripes of random shapes and the light intensity. For the representation of stripes it is often useful to use their centric curve. In this article I mostly concentrate on the mathematical principles of detecting a centric curve of a selected stripe.
