Development of Cold Sprayed Anti-oxidation Ti-doped Al Barriers On gamma-TiAl Substrates
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Four blends of Al doped with various Ti content were prepared and their respective morphology and chemical compositions were specified. Protective layers of the blends designated for deliberate oxidation were then successfully cold-spray deposited onto near-gamma TiAl substrates at 300'C, while preserving their initial chemical composition and retaining its original mutual Al:Ti ratio. No oxidation of the materials during deposition was detected and the porosity of the produced coatings varied between 5.9-27.3%. Heat-treatment in argon atmosphere under various combinations of temperatures and dwell times was carried out in order to induce formation of intermetallic phases within the deposits and compact the layers. Following the treatment, the specimens were subjected to 950'C exposure for 100, 250 and 500hrs, respectively. It was found that the oxidation of the coatings-protected specimens was substantially reduced (an increase in oxide content 1.34 mg/cm2 after 500hrs vs. 1.21 mg/cm2
