Comparison of capture efficiency of pollutants over a workbench with traditional and reinforced slot exhaust systems
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper deals with the comparison of the capture efficiency of pollutants over a workbench with traditional and reinforced slot exhaust systems. The reinforced exhaust system is based on the combination of the air exhaust and the radial air supply which enlarges the exhaust area. The reinforced exhaust system can be configured in different ways. The paper compares the capture efficiency of the exhaust hoods with the same air velocity in the suction slot and with different momentum flux ratios of the supplied and exhaust air flow. In order to measure the capture efficiency of pollutants, the tracer gas method is used. This method is based on supplying a suitable gas to the space in front of the exhaust hood and measuring its concentration in the exhausted air with the multi-gas monitor. As the tracer gas the carbon dioxide was chosen. From the measured concentration of the tracer gas in the exhaust pipe, the capture efficiency of the investigated system with the traditional and reinfo
