The chapter deals with computer aided calculations in the design of machine tools. Technical calculations represent the inseparable part of a creative process and they are requisite to create safe and reliable technical objects fulfilling their functions. The term ?calculation modelling? (and skills, knowledge and aptitude connected with it) covers technical (strength) calculations to a larger extent and at the current time it is hardly possible to perform such calculations without computer technology.
