The chapter deals with safety guards of machine tools. It is described their design, usage, safety. The protective guards represent the important machine tool part and they have more significances for the machine tool operation. So that they can fulfil their function with the top quality and over a long period, they must be designed well ? they must be designed with goodly creativity ? and, which is the most important aspect, they must be made in the high quality. The machine protective guards have onlythe esthetical meaning for a certain group of people. The separate section deals with their design. This section writes about the protective guards mainly from the technical point of view.
