Automatic Li-ion Battery Measuring Stand

This paper deals with a description of a simple Li-ion battery measuring stand. Stand is based on National Instruments modules which are capable of precise and fast measurement of voltage and temperature. Control of measuring stand is provided by personal computer with installed program LabVIEW. Measuring stand is capable of provide basic battery tests, e.g., cyclic battery recharging and battery resistance measurement. Main advantage of introduced stand is a very simple modification of its functionality, i.e., very easy reprogramming stand functions in LabVIEW. All introduced functions of measuring stand are verified with measurement of battery PANASONIC NCR18650A.
