Rubisco initial and total activiities as well as Rubisco content in Norway spruce grown in ambient (A) and elevated (E) CO2 concentrations were measured. Both total and initial activities decreased during the growing season but a diminution of the activities in E was slower than in A. Rubisco content in A decreased during the whole growing season.. Rubisco content in E decreased rapidly in the first half of the growing season (downregulation) and increased in the second half of the growing season.
