Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Environmental pollution is an ever-growing problem in todays consumer world. In order to achieve sustainable development, environmental protection shall constitute an integral part of the development process and cannot be considered in isolation from it.Water ecosystem, very important part of environment, is very vulnerable. Every day, a number of organic and inorganic substances of various properties used in homes industry and agriculture enter into this ecosystem, which serves as the ultimate sink for many of these contaminants, either due to direct discharges or to hydrologic and atmospheric processes. To reduce the impact of chemical substances on the aquatic ecosystem, it is essential both to understand their ecotoxicological properties in this environment and to use environmentally friendly chemicals with well-known ecotoxicological effects on water biota. Relevant ecotoxicological biotests are the way how to assess these effects. The main principle of biotests is the exposition
