Preparation of Insulating Refractory Based on Chemical Foaming
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper deals with preparation of insulating refractories, on the basis of phosphate binders and chemical foaming of mixtures. Phosphate binders provide relatively low pH, which allows wide selection of foaming agents, primarily metal powders. By choice and modification of the foaming agents the properties and quantity of foam can be regulated. In this work various combinations of phosphate binders, ceramic raw materials and foaming agents were used. The foam preparation and fixation technologies were optimized and subsequently the process of drying and firing were studied by measuring of mechanical and thermal properties and phase composition. From chosen aggregates the calcined kaolin indicates the best drying abilities and relatively low requirement on liquid phase ratio in mixture. From foaming agents the powdered alumina has the most suitable kinetics of reaction with acidic sludge. Also aluminum as foaming agent does not contaminate mixture with extra elements that can influen
