THE USE OF VARIOUS SOLID SORBENT FOR DETERMINATION OF PLATINUM GROUP METALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Platinum and palladium are constantly entering in large extent into the environment during the last 30 years mainly due car catalysts. There are used to convert toxic gas emissions of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides to water, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. These catalytic reactions lead to the release of the platinum in the exhaust emissions and then into all components of the environment. For the determination of low levels of these elements and their compounds are with advantageously used solid sorbent which can remove interference matrix of real samples and enriching the concentration of these metals to a measurable value [1]. Suitable sorbents we tested were both ion exchange resins and non-polar sorbent type of modified silica. This sorbent can be successfully adsorb ion associates of platinum metals with cationic surfactant. For selected sorbents we were optimized sorption process, with respect to use in the analysis of real soil samples [2]. For each method were compared sorptio
