Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Collaborative & Conscious Material Design is a collective publication accompanying the exhibition of the same title. It examines environmentally conscious approaches to working with materials in design, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration as a critical condition for addressing contemporary ecological challenges. Through expert contributions and a curated selection of international case studies, the book offers both conceptual frameworks and practical insights for designers, researchers, and students engaged in the evolving discourse on materials and design. The publication brings together expert-authored chapters by leading figures in materials design (Valentina Rognoli, Sofia Soledad Duarte Poblete, MaDe/Trans, Polimi), environmental responsibility in material design (Barbara Pollini, Aalto University), and interdisciplinary materials design practice, represented by practicing designer Vlasta Kubušová (MIT). The selected case studies provide unique behind-the-scenes insights into material development, revealing collaborative processes and the challenges inherent in collaboration.
