Electromyography analysis of the modified bench press exercise and its influence on muscle activity of m. pectoralis major a m. deltoideus anterior
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
One of the most common problems of exercises in the gym is the incorrect technique of strengthening of pectoral muscles. The shoulder joint and deltoid muscles are often overloaded and that is why we have decided to focus on the execution of bench press. The modified execution of the exercise causes higher activity in m. pectoralis major and lower activity in m. deltoideus. It is important to execute the bench press with the appropriate range of motion, to initiate motion by activity in pectoral muscles, to use adequate load and speed of movement, to locate the axis of the weight above the pectoral muscles, and to prevent movement of the shoulders in the cranial direction in the lowest position.
