The reactive - speed Performance of the Volleyball Players during Year Training Cycle
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper focuses on determination of differences in reactive – speed abilities, reaction agility and level of dynamic strength of lower limbs in volleyball players of younger age groups during RTC. The research set included two groups, a team of cadets (15.9 years) and juniors (17.5 years). Both teams are currently among the top ones in their categories in the Czech Republic. Both groups were tested using three tests: Laboratory test of agility, Compass drill and Standing broad jump (SBJ). The players were tested three times during the Year training cycle (YTC); at the beginning, in the middle and at the end. Juniors achieved significantly better results in all tests. Both groups showed improvement compared to the first measurement for all tests. In the Laboratory agility test, both groups achieved greater improvement over the first period between the initial and the second measurements than in the second period between the second and the final measurement. In the Compass Drill test, the juniors achieved greater improvement in the first part of the RTC, while the cadets in the second part. The improvement in SBJ was slightly higher in the second part of the RTC for both groups, but without a significant difference. The relationships between the test results were moderate, which confirms only a certain influence of lower limb performance on the reactive-speed ability of volleyball players.
