The paper focuses on the analysis of the social network of the particular Czech startup. The social network analysis used a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches to reveal the transformation of social network from the initial idea through the establishment and subsequent development of startup by integrating traditional qualitative data processing with the quantitative / mathematical approach using UCINet 6 software. This procedure allowed to link the verbal answers of (co)founders with selected measures of centrality, cohesion and centralization used in social network analysis. The analysed startup is characterized by the central role of one of the founders, a large share of personal ties of network members, a predominance of long-term ties and a non-calculative concept of social capital. The nature of the social network and the approach to building it according to both qualitative and quantitative data remain basically the same as expected during the analysis period.
