Prognosis of occurence and multiplication of damson hop aphid (Phorodon humuli) and downy mildew (Pseudoperonospora humuli) helps a lot in the strategies of protection against these the most important pest and disease. Methods of prognosis have been processed on the base of many data obtained from laboratory tests and from comparative field trials. The information obtained from the prognosis serves hop growers, government clerks, teachers, students of secondary schools and universities where hop cultivation is commonly taught. With good practice in hop protection against damson hop aphid and downy mildew we are able to decrease environmental burdening in hop growing regions in Czech Repulic.
