Book of Absrtacts and Proceedings of the International Conference, June 22-24, 2015, Prague, Czech republic, s. 116-119: Diversity of cropping system and weed biodiversity can both ease life of the farmer with the weed. Weed seedbanks and field weed emergence of three agrosystems were analyzed; (i) spring barley monoculture (ii) winter wheat monoculture and (iii) Norfolk four-course system. The two monocultures were planted without rotation receiving four types of amendments; straw incorporation, green manuring, both and control without organic supply. Soil sampling was performed in April 2014 after sowing and prior to herbicide application by taking 10 soil cores per management. Field weed emergence was estimated in April and June counted as plant density and cover. Significant differences in weed seedbank size were found between systems, managements and in their combinations. Weed seedbank size was largest under the Norfolk and smallest under the wheat monoculture. The overall weed seedbank was made up of 13 plant species with the prevalence of Amaranthus retroflexus. In field weed emergence significant differences were found in plant density between dates of estimations, systems, managements and in all their combinations. The overall field weed emergence density was highest in barley monoculture and Norfolk in April and June, respectively. In April and June there were found 22 and 20 species, respectively. The prevalent species were Cirsium arvense and A. retroflexus mainly found in Norfolk; Silene noctiflora and Veronica persica in barley monoculture. The weed characteristics exhibit different patterns in diversified cropping system and are influenced by organic type of amendment in monocultures.
