The article is focused on help to the refugees from Nazi Germany in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. In contrast to the existing historiography, which emphasised the positive experience of refugees who belonged to the cultural and political elite, the authorof this study is focusing on the experience of the ordinary refugees, who faced many problems. A special attention is devoted to the Jews, who build the majority of the refugees in Czechoslovakia and who in spite of it were neglected by historians.
