The chapter aims to analyse the situation within the area of youth unemployment monitoring in the CR. The key questions that need to be answered in this context are Why is it important to have monitoring data for the reduction of youth unemployment? Whoneeds such data? What is the current state of the art related to such data? Where are the limits of national approaches? What are the requirements for a regional monitoring derived from this? The following four sub-chapters bring answers to these questions. The conclusions of this analysis will identify what kind of data need to be monitored and evaluated in the first place in order to prevent or reduce youth unemployment.
