Use of composts made of biologically degradable materials when improving soil environment
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Effects of composts made of biologically degradable materials on the infiltration capacity of soil were studied within the period of 2008 ? 2010. Altogether three experimental variants were established in two different localities, i.e. on permanent grassland (TTP) and on arable land, to monitor effects of increasing compost doses on some soil characteristics. Locality A ? permanent grassland can be characterised as brown earth soil type with loamy-sandy soil and with the maximum depth of arable layer of0.20 m. Locality B ? arable soil of brown earth type, with sandy-loamy texture and the maximum depth of humus horizon 0.40 m. It was found out that as compared with control (compost not incorporated into the upper layer), the application of the highestdose of compost resulted in a better infiltration. This finding was statistically significant in both localities. On arable land, the infiltration was higher than on permanent grassland and it can be therefore concluded that this is a fav
