The aim of this paper is to evaluate the quality certification systems in the accommodation services sector in the Czech Republic and Germany. Quality is becoming a key factor in the competitiveness of the service sector in developed countries. Consumers' demands for comfort and standards of hospitality and accommodation services are constantly increasing. One of the suitable means for achieving and maintaining a high standard is the implementation of certification systems. The theoretical basis of the paper is mapping and clarifying the systems of certification of service quality in the Czech Republic and Germany. The research includes evaluation of the implementation and functioning of the quality system of gastronomic facilities in the Czech Republic. A description method was used to analyze the current state of quality certification of accommodation services in both countries.
