Czech Flax National Collection (Linum usitatissimum L.) belongs to the biggest European one. 2056 accessions are maintained in the collection at the end 2007. During 2003 ? 2006 the collection has been systematically analysed from the point of passport and special descriptors view also the method of digital image analysis version NIS Elements AR 2.30 (DIA) including, in order to receive initial input data for the collection rationalisation, detection of duplicates and core collection of 10 % previous collection size creation conserving the original range of genetic variability. Based on received results the respective genotypes can be chosen for the prototype core collection creation.
