Effect of fertilization and pasture management on species diversity and forage quality.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The effects of different levels of grazing utilization and mineral fertilization on the botanical composition of permanent grasslands within the context of nutrition aspects were studied in the locality of Rapotín during 2003-2010. It was found out thatmoderate treatment (three grazing periods per year) without mineral fertilization showed the highest value of the diversity index in the mean of years (DI = 6.08), which indicates a well-balanced community and better ecological conditions. In this treatment the maximum percentage cover of legumes (Dmax = 16.8 % in 2007), particularly the species Trifolium repens, was recorded. The highest dominance of grasses (Dmax = 86.5 % in 2007) was achieved with the fertilized extensive treatment (two grazing periods per year). The main grass species which extended their dominance were Dactylis glomerata and Elytrigia repens. The best suitable nutrient ratio (PDIN : PDIE = 0.95) was found out in grassland utilization with three grazing periods per
