Ve dnech 9.-10.9.2022 se uskutečnil tradiční den otevřených dveří v genofondové zahradě trav. Akce se zúčastnilo více než 900 účastníků, kteří si mimo okrasných druhů trav mohli prohlédnout i expozice výzkumu v oblasti trav a trávníkářství, šlechtění a molekulární biologie, ale také mohli ochutnat některé produkty z pohanky. V souvislosti s aktuální situací v oblastí energií byla zajímavá expozice Vysoké školy báňské—Technické univerzity v Ostravě o energetickém využití travní biomasy. Pro zájemce o trávníky byly připraveny praktické ukázky působení herbicidů proti dvouděložným plevelům a mechům, možnosti založení, výživy a ošetřování trávníků a předvedení trávníkářské techniky. Nedílnou součástí výstavy, která zaujala zejména děti, bylo i předvedení pokusnické techniky, traktorů a kombajnů. Návštěvníky také lákal tradiční fotokoutek. Zpestřením byla i expozice sociálního zemědělství—Dílna u Beránka s ukázkou zpracování vlny i živými ovečkami.

The eleventh year of the "Magic World of Grasses" exhibition took place on September 9-10, 2022. A traditional event in the gene pool garden of ornamental grass species, organized by OSEVA development and research s.r.o. in cooperation with OSEVA PRO s.r.o., o.z. The grassland research station in Rožnov-Zubří was visited by almost 900 visitors, including children from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Visitors to the event were introduced to the Grassland Research Station in Zubří, including the main directions of activity and current research and breeding activities. There was great interest in the exhibition of ornamental species grasses, which are the most attractive in the autumn aspect. The visitor's attention was also attracted by the expositions of cultural and wild grass species growing in different habitats. Interested are they also inspected the expositions dedicated to grass breeding and seed production. The visitor was also interested in the exposition of the energy use of grasses presented by Technical University Ostrava. For those interested in lawns, practical demonstrations of the action of herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds and mosses, the possibility of establishing, nutrition and treatment of lawns and demonstrations of lawn technology were prepared. An integral part of the exhibition, which attracted children in particular, was the demonstration of experimental equipment, tractors and combines. Visitors were also attracted by the traditional photo corner. The exhibition of the creative workshop "U beránka" from Bludovice, which enriched the exhibition with a demonstration of traditional wool processing and sheep of the original Wallachian breed, which enjoyed great interest not only children but also adults.
